Canon – PowerShot to iPhone

When Canon recently updated select PowerShot cameras and Vixia camcorders with WiFi, an intricate and powerful new feature, they recognized the need for comprehensive step-by-step tutorial videos. Placed on the Canon web site, product owners would have 24/7 global access to the videos.

Canon commissioned Blue Barn Pictures to create these WiFi tutorials. While writing the scripts and creating the graphics, Blue Barn worked closely with Canon’s product support team to identify key support points. Attention to details was important. Blue Barn’s producers and writers dug into the technical documents, met with Canon’s technical representatives, and created an approach for tutorials that would be easy-to-follow, friendly, and thorough without being overwhelming.

The final 8 WiFi tutorial videos implemented on Canon’s site provide a cost-effective solution for the Support Center, decrease the number of customers seeking live assistance, and go a long way to earning continued customer trust and good will.
